Collecting your information
We only record personal details that are necessary for communicating effectively with our clients and enquirers. These details could include: date of enquiry, full name, telephone number, email address, postal address (where given) and brief details of any communication that has occurred. We also keep details about the shoot you enquired about or that took place.
Using your information
We'll use your personal information to correspond with you and to provide a quotation relating to your enquiry.
If you agree to receive email updates about our services or special offers, we'll use your name and email address to send this information to you. By sending this information to you, we are pursuing our legitimate interest to provide you with information regarding our services. You have the right to object or restrict to this processing at any time, just let us know (see the Contact section below). We promise not to bombard you with information or irrelevant offers. We also use social media providers to notify you of new services or workshops.
Who else receives your personal data?
We may share your personal information with third parties where required by law, where it is necessary for our working relationship, or where we have another legitimate interest in doing so.
We may transfer your data to third parties operating or managing the website on our behalf, third-party social media providers, and third-party mailing providers. Those third parties may be located in third countries outside of the EU. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this notice.
We use an externally hosted third party to manage and administer your client account, enquiries and bookings – their servers are located in the EU and are fully compliant with GDPR. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Images are saved securely in the cloud to Dropbox and Smugmug which gives you access to download your images and provides a backup of your images.
How long will we keep your personal data for?
We'll keep hold of your data during the period we provide our service to you plus six years from the end of the last company financial year they related to, in order to comply with UK company record keeping requirements.
Your rights to your personal data and complaints
Each individual has the right to request to access, rectify, restrict, object to or erase their personal data at any time. To implement this, please contact Kate Darkins using the details below and the request will be carried out as soon as is practically possible. Individuals also have the right to complain to the ICO if they do not feel we are handling their data safely or legally.
